During Colombiatex of the Americas, held in the last week of January, the Vicunha brand presented a line of innovative and sustainable products produced with regenerative cotton, becoming the first Brazilian denim manufacturer to use this special cotton. The products are already available throughout Latin America.
Throughout its 35 years, the fair continues to position itself as the most relevant specialized networking space in the Americas, a global connection scenario for the textile-garment industry that demonstrates new developments and sustainable practices in the sector.
On this occasion, visitors were able to explore the textures, colors, and stories behind these products that not only follow the latest trends, but promote environmental awareness as well.
Regenerative cotton is a product coming from regenerative agriculture, a concept associated with the possibility of growing plants and, at the same time, recovering the soil. Moreover, its proposal attempts to regenerate and preserve the entire agriculture production system. This agriculture regeneration must consider in addition to economic aspects, ecological, ethical, and social equity matters.
Recently advertised by the international press, Colombiatex, for the fifth consecutive year, followed the path of sustainability highlighting more than twenty-seven companies with circular processes and giving visibility to the “Material Library” which is an exhibition space of more than twenty innovative products, promoting fashion awareness and planet care.
