FAD Connection, Domus Academy and Universo MOLA announced the winner of the Latin American Inter-University Contest, which awards a scholarship of € 9,000 for a postgraduate semester at Domus Academy Milan. This competition, exclusively for people with a university degree or about to receive it, attracted participants from all over Latin America looking for the opportunity to advance their academic and professional careers in the field of design.

The ceremony held last Friday was attended by prominent representatives of the organizing institutions, was used to present the finalists and reward a scholarship. Valen, Director of Universo MOLA, highlighted the importance of this initiative to strengthen academic ties in the region and expressed her hope that this is just the beginning of a series of opportunities for Latin American students.

According to Federica Levrero, representative of FAD Connection, she shared her enthusiasm for the cultural and academic exchange that this contest promotes and highlighted the diversity and quality of the projects presented by the participants.

During the ceremony, remotely, Monica Rodriguez, representative of Domus Academy, highlighted the importance of collaborations between students and companies in each project. In addition, Jose Fortez, Senior Director of Vogue Latam and ambassador of Universo MOLA, also participated in the ceremony, highlighting the relevance of these alliances for development and innovation in the field of design.

Among the finalists were Nayeli Moreno, who works on a collaborative textile art project in the municipality of San Jerónimo Tecuanipan; and Paulina Escobar who focused on environmental awareness and changing the negative perspective on socio-political practices in Colombia. Both finalists stressed the importance of talent and environmental impact of Latin America.

The scholarship winner was announced as Genaro Rivas from Peru, who has been an active member of the Universo MOLA community for quite some time. In his words of thanks, Genaro expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to grow and learn more at Domus Academy Milan.

This competition represents a unique opportunity for Latin American students to access a world-class education in design. FAD Connection, Domus Academy, and Universo MOLA are proud to have assisted Genaro Rivas and all participants on this important step in their careers.
