On August 19, 2024, the Universidad Iberoamericana de Puebla hosted MOLA Fashion Day, an event dedicated to promoting sustainable fashion and empowering emerging designers in Latin America.

Adriana Quiroz, director of the Faculty of Architecture and Design of IBERO Puebla, opened the event with a power of speech, highlighting the projects presented and the caeer impact they can have in young people. "These projects are going to open many doors for them," she said, encouraging participants to continue pursuing their dreams.

Doris Helena Rojas, director of the Entre Soles y Lunas Foundation, gave a talk in which she highlighted the importance of recognizing and valuing Latin America's cultural diversity as an inexhaustible source of creativity and innovation. “Even though we are Latinos, we are diverse, but that's where the richness of who we are is,” Rojas said.

Valentina Suárez, Director of the Universo MOLA Program, shared her experience and knowledge on the development of successful business models in the fashion industry, providing attendees with practical tools to boost their undertakings.

One of the most anticipated moments of the event was the awarding of scholarships, which recognized the talent and dedication of emerging designers. The Fabrica de Punto brand won the full scholarship, while Terra obtained a 75% scholarship. Verde Amor, Sofía Hegel and a group of IBERO students were awarded with half scholarships, which will allow them to continue developing their projects and achieve their professional goals.

Excitement and hope filled the atmosphere at the conclusion of MOLA Fashion Day Puebla. Winners with their scholarships in hand and their eyes set on the next edition of Latin American sustainable fashion week, are an inspiring example for all those who dream of succeeding in the fashion industry. Their journey is just beginning, and the world is looking forward to discovering their creations in the upcoming Universo MOLA Fashion Week 2025.
