C. L. A. S. S. (Creativity Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy) has launched Smart Closet during Milan Beauty Week, a platform that seeks to redefine the concept of responsible fashion. This event, held at Palazzo Bovara from September 27 to 29, 2024, was designed to offer consumers a clear and transparent vision of how sustainability, ethics and design can coexist in the world of contemporary fashion.
Smart Closet not only focuses on the aesthetics of garments, but also on the values that underpin them. According to Giusy Bettoni, CEO and founder of C. L. A. S. S., the platform seeks to educate and guide consumers towards more conscious choices. The event introduces a new way of interpreting the concept of "good dressing," where the beauty of a garment goes hand in hand with its social and environmental responsibility.
This encounter brought together a series of pieces that combine aesthetics and sustainable innovation. One of the highlights was the capsule collection A Dress for Venice, a collaboration between eco-designer Tiziano Guardini and artist Jacopo Ascari, made with Bemberg™ yarns and produced by Martina Vidal Venezia. Other notable collaborations included Candiani Custom jeans, designed with sustainable fabrics, and Posh fragramces, , created under a supply chain controlled by CFF (Creative Flavours & Fragrances.)
In addition to product installements Smart Closet included a series of talks with industry experts that addressed key issues for the future of fashion. Among the panelists were Simon Giuliani, global marketing director of Candiani Denim, and Giusy Bettoni, who discussed the value of money in responsible fashion. Designers and creative consultants also participated, offering their vision on how the industry can evolve towards a more sustainable approach.
These discussions underlined the importance of traceability, innovation in materials and the role of brands in educating consumers about sustainability. With the participation of experts from different fields, these talks contributed to create a constructive dialogue on the challenges and opportunities faced by responsible fashion in the coming years.
The success of this first edition of Smart Closet marks the beginning of an initiative that seeks to consolidate itself as a benchmark in responsible fashion. With the support of institutions such as the Italian National Chamber of Fashion and the collaboration of media such as SkyTG24, the proposal has the potential to grow and attract more actors in the industry.
