The Circular Sustainable Fashion Week (CSFW) Madrid 2024 an event allied to Universo MOLA, emerged as a fundamental event in the national sustainable fashion scene, held from April 18 to 28. This fourth edition, under the slogan “Regeneration”, focused on regenerative practices that promote the circular economy and preserve the environment.
Among the highlights of the week:
The Queen Upcycling Runway, held on April 22 at Central de Diseño, was the stage for 11 national and international brands that stood out for their commitment to the use of pre- and post-consumer textiles, driving reuse and innovation in fashion.
The Key Conferences were an essential pillar of the event, addressing crucial topics for the sustainable textile industry. Of particular note was the conference on Relocalization on April 23, which focused on the importance of local development for the regeneration and decarbonization of the textile industry, with the participation of industry experts. Also, the session on SCRAP and Textile Waste explored the new textile strategy and Extended Producer Responsibility, focusing on sustainability within the industry.
Runway 17, a collaborative event where participating brands co-created looks, highlighted the need for partnerships to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
In addition, various workshops and educational activities were held throughout the week, providing knowledge on sustainable and innovative practices in fashion.
