On August 15, Medellín hosted the fourth edition of MOLA Fashion Day 2024, a key meeting in the promotion of sustainable and ethical fashion in Latin America. Organized by Universo MOLAwith the support of the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) and the Universidad de Medellín. The event brought together brands, designers, students and experts in a space of exchange and learning.

This day, which was attended by Gabriela Pedranti, a specialist in fashion semiotics and teacher at IED, included an inspiring talk on regeneration by the director of the Entre Soles y Lunas Foundation, Doris Helena Rojas.

The day ended with recognition of the talents that are making a difference. Zamia Gallery shone with its own light by obtaining a full scholarship to participate in UMFW 25. Escobar Zuluaga, La Tía Lu, Nelson Forero Marroquinería y Accesorios, Fashionista Colombiana, Artelago Tejidos, Haz Villa and ANVI were also awarded with half scholarships, while five university students took a step forward on their way to sustainable fashion receiving the challenge of creating a collection, to be presented within the framework of the only Latin American sustainable fashion week, in a group.

For 3 years, MOLA Fashion Day has supported more than 200 projects and continues to expand. After successful editions in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Colombia in 2024, MOLA will bring its focus on sustainability and innovation to Mexico. On August 19, IBERO Puebla IBERO Puebla will host Mexican designers, entrepreneurs and producers who will join this global community focused on more conscious and responsible fashion.
