The Green Revolution is one of the 20 trends that constitute Pinterest Predicts 2025. This trend encompasses things like recyclable fashion, self-sufficient gardens, and community spaces. One of its most important influences is Solar Punk, a movement that thinks about an optimistic future for the planet.

According to Pinterest, the terms "solar punk fashion" and "solar punk house" increased in searches by 115% and 80% respectively. The aesthetics of Solar Punk are inseparable from the roots of this artistic and sociocultural movement that emerged in the early 2010s. It focuses on trying to answer the following question: "What would a sustainable civilization look like and how can we reach it?".

The above question is answered with optimism, putting technology at the service of the environment; for example, participants create sustainable home designs or think of solutions to thrive without fossil fuels.

For the same reason, Solar Punk aesthetics fuses the beautiful and the practical, while its aesthetic is influenced by several currents: biophilic design, Art Nouveau, the work of Hayao Miyazaki, Afrofuturism, and Amazofuturism. They show an interest in natural forms, curves, plants, and the promotion of heritage.

To that extent, Solar Punk style follows an ethical and sustainable line through consumption guidelines such as the use of less clothing, the purchase from the local and artisan industry, and the manufacture and purchase of garments made from natural fibers and dyes.

The result of the mixture of their socio-cultural projects, their influences, and their consumer ethics is a style in which the common tones in nature (green, brown, and yellow) predominate; the garments have wide, fluid, and long cuts.

Finally, something fundamental about this movement is that there is no right way and everyone can contribute to it. Therefore, Solar Punk aesthetic is open, and evolving. And each person who resonates with the movement can contribute to it.
