The Universo MOLA program, of the Entre Soles y Lunas Foundationhas established a strategic collaboration with the Europeo di Design and other partners to present the innovative sustainable fashion travel experience entitledSustainable Fashion Travel Experience«. From October 14 to October 25, 2024, in the cities of Madrid, Barcelona and Milan,with additional activities from October 29 to November 5 in Rome and London.

The full program offers total immersion in five of Europe's most iconic cities, where participants will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a wide variety of activities designed to inspire and educate in the fields of design, fashion, innovation and trends. 

In addition, during the event, they will have the opportunity to discover Latin American brands, which will significantly broaden their perspective on sustainable fashion. Also, activities will be conducted in Spanish, Italian and English, ensuring broad accessibility and promoting international participation.

Program:

Madrid (October 14th -15th -16th ): Focus on Sustainability Management.

The activities in Madrid include an inspirational talk on how to be a Change Maker and best practices in sustainability, and a Retail Tour with visits to stores and showrooms, with detailed explanations about the brand, interior design, visual merchandising, customers, and products. In addition, there will be an inspirational talk about the New Ecosystem and sustainability, followed by a Circular Design Workshop, where participants will evaluate their processes and learn how to reduce and improve their environmental impact. Everything will culminate with the MOLA Fashion Talks.

Barcelona (October 18th -21st -22nd ): Exploration of Design and Branding, including Barcelona Design Week.

Activities in Barcelona include an inspirational talk on Global & Fashion Trends, and a master class on the Fashion System, highlighting sustainability and brand differentiation. A Retail Tour will be held with visits to emblematic stores in the city. Then, there will be a workshop on brand differentiation through style and the construction of sustainable collections, followed by a master class on branding, where sustainable brands, their characteristics and models will be analyzed, and branding tools will be explained, culminating with a Practical exercise. Finally, MOLA Fashion Talks will take place.

Milan (October 24th -25th ): Analysis of Communication and Sustainability Trends in Fashion

Activities in Milan include an inspirational talk on Sustainability Trends in Retail and Fashion Communication, and a master class on Introduction to Fashion Communication and social media, with case analysis in sustainable fashion. There will also be a workshop on Fashion Communication, where techniques to develop social communities on digital platforms will be taught. In addition, MOLA Fashion Talks will be held. A Milan Retail Trends Tour will also take place, visiting museums, showrooms, and stores such as C.L.A.S.S., Candiani, Albini, Patagonia and Fondazione Sozzani.

 

Extension of activities 

Rome (October 29th ): Training Seminar on Sustainable Fashion in collaboration with AILAM Hub – IILA

In Rome, in collaboration with AILAM Hub – IILA, ​​a Training Seminar on Sustainable Fashion will be held, focused on the development of a shared methodology for comprehensive training in skills, competencies and skills, as well as the promotion of critical and reflective thinking. The seminar will include panel discussions, lectures and networking sessions, providing a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences in sustainable fashion.

London (November 4th -5th ): MOLA Fashion Talks Special

The MOLA Fashion Talks event will take place in London, which will include an exhibition of pieces, conferences, and networking opportunities. The following day, Harrington Blue will host a Retail Tour to various locations across the city, including the University of Westminster, Marylebone High Street and Spitalfields, to explore current trends in retail. The tour will be adapted according to the profiles of the participants and will focus on aspects such as the conceptualization of the space, the perception of the key elements of the stores and self-reflection on design and location decisions.

MOLA Fashion Talks:

MOLA Fashion Talks play a fundamental role in fostering the exchange of ideas and experiences within the field of sustainable fashion. These talks provide an inspiring space to learn and connect, promoting innovative and sustainable practices in both the business and institutional sectors. Aligned with Universo MOLA's vision of promoting diversity and inclusion in sustainable fashion, they also seek to expand and highlight Latin American brands in the European market.

Background 2023:

Recognized by the Ministry of Tourism of Uruguay and supported by various entities, the MOLA Fashion Talks have already left their mark in three European cities (Madrid, Barcelona, and London), bringing together 13 speakers and more than 100 attendees. The Entre Soles y Lunas Foundation confirms the continuity of the project in 2024, with the inclusion of more cities and the participation of designers and fashion communities from Latin America.

Investment:

The investment to participate in this event varies depending on the package selected. A minimum of 15 participants and a maximum of 18 are required, depending on space availability. The payment method can be by full payment or in installments, with the last payment before September 10. Bank transfers to Banco Santander in Uruguay or transfers through PayPal are accepted, although the participant must cover the costs associated with the transfer. The cost of participation does not include food, transportation, or accommodation. There are several packages available.
