En una primera instancia, se recolectan residuos de la agroindustria, como el orujo de uva y el bagazo de cerveza. Una vez obtenidos, estos desechos se fermentan y le proporcionan al hongo nutrientes necesarios para transformarlos en un biomaterial. Es decir, no s\u00f3lo se logra un biomaterial sino que tambi\u00e9n se reutiliza un desecho que, de lo contrario, estar\u00eda contaminando el ambiente\u00bb, declar\u00f3 Adriana Clementz, una de las responsables de Mycorium Biotech.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El material resultante presenta notables similitudes en cuanto a color, textura y consistencia con el cuero, convirti\u00e9ndose as\u00ed en la materia prima ideal para la fabricaci\u00f3n de una amplia variedad de productos. La innovaci\u00f3n de materiales se presenta como un elemento crucial en la moda sostenible. Este enfoque no s\u00f3lo redefine la producci\u00f3n de art\u00edculos de uso diario, sino que tambi\u00e9n ampara la integridad de los animales. La alternativa propuesta, permite la reutilizaci\u00f3n de residuos y al ser biodegradable puede ser compostada a diferencia del ecocuero comercial.
