According to a recent report by <\/span><b>Mercado Libre<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the sustainable fashion category experienced a remarkable<\/span><b> 83 %<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> increase in sales between <\/span><b>2023 and 2024<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, stablishing itself as one of the sectors with the greatest development in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This phenomenon is attributed to the increase in consumers looking for ecological alternatives in their purchases. <\/span><b>M\u00e9xico<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> leads this trend with a <\/span><b>37 %<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> increase in buyers of sustainable products in the first half of 2024. Countries such as <\/span><b>Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia y Uruguay<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> also show significant growth. Across the region, more than <\/span><b>2.7 million people<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> purchased at least one sustainable product during the period analyzed, which represents an increase of <\/span><b>26 %<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> over the previous year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among the most popular products, trousers and stockings made of recycled materials or sustainable fibers stand out, with increases of <\/span><b>325 %<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>283 %<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> respectively. In addition, the use of materials such as <\/span><b>organic cotton and bamboo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has become a key trend, reflecting the interest in responsible alternatives in the fashion industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The supply of products also grew remarkably: sustainable fashion sellers increased by <\/span><b>20 %<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while posts available on e-commerce platforms increased by <\/span><b>70 %<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> compared to last year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In countries such as <\/span><b>Brazil and Argentina<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, searches for terms related to sustainability, such as \"bamboo\" and \"recycled\", are among the most popular, which highlights the widespread interest in responsible consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As sustainability is positioned as a priority, sustainable fashion consolidates itself as a key chance for entrepreneurs and companies throughout Latin America.
