This groundbreaking project is the first of its kind in the region and a global pioneer, thanks to its transdisciplinary approach that brings together fashion, sustainability, and academia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The founding agreement was signed during Universo MOLA Fashion Week 2025, held at EAN University in Bogot\u00e1, Colombia. The main objective of this network is to create a permanent system of collaboration among academic institutions, promoting education, research, and the exchange of knowledge in the field of sustainable fashion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The eleven founding institutions are:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Escuela Arturo Tejada Cano (Colombia)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; SENA &#8211; Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (Colombia)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Istituto Europeo di Design<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Universidad Santo Tom\u00e1s (Colombia)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Universidad del Rosario (Colombia)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Universidad Sergio Arboleda (Colombia)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Polit\u00e9cnico Grancolombiano (Colombia)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Universidad Americana (Paraguay)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Centro de Dise\u00f1o de Modas de Guadalajara (M\u00e9xico)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Universidad ITESO (M\u00e9xico)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano (Colombia)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the meeting, key challenges were identified across two main dimensions. In the student sphere, generational shifts, the diversity of sociocultural contexts, and in some cases, a lack of awareness or interest in sustainable fashion. In the industrial sector, inadequate infrastructure and a shortage of specialized learning environments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To address these challenges, an action plan was established, which includes: creating dedicated spaces, organizing engaging events for students, and developing projects that involve local communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">represents a significant step forward for sustainable fashion education.
