A new edition of MOLA FASHION DAY (MFD) is approaching, an event that complements the outstanding Latin American sustainable fashion week, UNIVERSO MOLA FASHION WEEK (UMFW). Organized by the Entre Soles y Lunas Foundation through the UNIVERSO MOLA program, the MFD’s main objective is to offer a training space aimed at strengthening fashion and sustainability proposals in various Latin American countries.

The MFD seeks to promote local entrepreneurship and create a favorable educational environment that can lead to participation in the next UMFW. Applications are currently open for Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay until March 10, and the call for Colombia and Mexico will be open soon.

The projects selected among brands, designers, suppliers, and artisans will receive a 90% scholarship for training in sustainable fashion business and communication, complying with a series of requirements that include commercial viability, impact on local communities, work with sustainable practices and diversity in the business proposal, among others. In addition, they will have the opportunity to access half scholarships for the next edition of the UMFW and choose a full scholarship awarded by country.

Those interested in participating must carefully read the terms and conditions and must fill out the application form available on the UNIVERSO MOLA official website. This is a unique opportunity for those who are looking to stand out in the sustainable fashion field in Latin America and contribute to the promotion of local industry.

The participants will have the chance to take a thorough training of at least 8 hours, where key topics such as sustainable fashion, business models, and fashion-oriented communication will be addressed.

As of today, in two years, we have reached six countries and seven cities with a total of 150 projects. In addition, we have contributed with 24 coaches and awarded 33 full scholarships, along with 115 partial scholarships, and 2 scholarships equivalent to three-quarters of a full scholarship.

The next editions of the event will take place on the following dates and locations: April 3rd and 4th in Vina del Mar, Chile; April 8th in Asunción, Paraguay; April 10th in Buenos Aires, Argentina; April 18th in Montevideo, Uruguay; August 15th in Medellin, Colombia; August 19th in Puebla, Mexico.
